Magicard has launched Ultima, a retransfer card printer adding to its range of direct to card printers.Magicard has said the Ultima is the only retransfer printer which gives users the facility to print HoloKote watermarks. The printer comes pre-loaded with ten HoloKote images and users can specify additional, custom watermarks of their logo, a word or other custom element. Magicard pioneered the HoloKote technology and Ultima will remain the only retransfer printer which can use this patented system.The company said Ultima is powered by a high-grade processing unit which facilitates the printing of up to 100 full colour, super-sharp cards per hour.Magicard said it is phasing the introduction of Ultima region-by-region to allow for a ramp-up in production and to ensure that its partner network is fully prepared to sell and support this sophisticated printer.
