A Ministry of Interior delegation from Kuwait has inspected a first batch of 65,000 new ePassports during a visit to Germany.Major General Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenship and Residency Affairs at the Ministry of Interior (MoI), said the delivery would reach Kuwait early next week.Others would be dispatched in stages in the coming months. Maj Gen Sheikh Mazen to remain in the country, at present, along with a number of senior ministry officers for this particular taskAuthorities have said, however, that a DNA testing procedure will precede the issuance of e-passport for Kuwaiti citizens.Last week, it was confirmed that any one who misses this test will face punitive measures.
