Dutch laser tech and security document specialists IAI industrial systems have revealed a new passport personalisation platform called BookMaster Pro which the firm says is designed for intensive industrial use, user friendliness and easy and quick maintenance.An industrial system for sustained mid-volume passport personalisation, the new system is ranged in-between IAI's high volume BookMaster One system and IAI's low volume BookMaster Desk system. The new system will be suitable for passports with a paper or polycarbonate data page. It features an automated input and output stacker, book identification, contactless chip encoding, laser engraving including an MLI feature, colour inkjet printing and lamination and a verification of applied processes.In a statement, IAI said the development is in line with IAI's new system philosophy, meaning that means that the BookMaster Pro platform will have a modular set-up and be upgradable and ready for future innovations.IAI industrial systems is exhibiting at booth F15 of next week's SDW 2015 event.
