Spanish biometric firm Facephi has revealed that it is working with HSBC on a biometric authentication project.The Argentinian branch of HSBC will be the first one of the HSBC Group to implement the facial recognition tech, with clients able to access to their banking accounts and private areas just taking a selfie. In this sense, the users of the mobile application that use the firm's “Selphi” won't have to remember any password again increasing the security and user experience of the mobile banking app.In a statement, FacePhi noted that this brings the number of banks using its tech to 15, noting that it forecast there will be some 130 million authentications using its solutions in 2017.
