PARIS – Secure identity solutions developer Hologram Industries has become Surys, creating a new player in eID and identity document providers.Speaking to Security Document World at Cartes, Surys President Hugues Souparis said that the change in name was designed to reflect the company's wide-ranging offerings."SURYS offers solutions to ensure that national IDs, travel documents, drivers' licences are easy to authenticate and hard to counterfeit," notes the new company on its website.The newly created companies offerings include identity, vehicles, bank notes and brand solutions, including products which can authenticate using smartphones.Surys will also incorporate passport printing firm Trigenion, which Hologram Industries acquired at the end of 2014."When we acquire firms, we bring them funding and ideas," said Souparis, pointing to a growth in innovation at Trigenion since it became Sury's personalisation wing.The president confirmed that the new company's core focus will remain on optical products.
