Designed and engineered in France, the foldable V10 integrates fingerprint, dual-iris, face capture, document scanning, digital signature and smartcard reading into a single compact platform.

GripID, the French deep-tech company specialised in sovereign multimodal biometric identity solutions, today announces the launch of the V10 — a compact and fully integrated biometric enrolment station designed for national ID and electronic identity programs.

The V10 will make its world premiere at ID4Africa 2026 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, from 12 to 15 May 2026.

A complete enrolment workstation in a compact format

The V10 combines all the technologies required for secure identity enrolment into a single foldable 10-inch device. Its integrated capabilities include:

— FBI-certified 4-4-2 fingerprint capture

— Dual-iris acquisition

— Automatic face tracking and facial capture

— Identity document scanning

— Digital signature capture

— Contact and contactless smartcard reading

The device enables operators to securely authenticate, capture citizen biometrics and manage identity credential personalization from a single portable workstation.

By consolidating the full enrolment workflow into one compact platform, the V10 significantly reduces deployment complexity, transportation constraints and setup time for field operations.

“The V10 brings the capabilities of a traditional enrollment office into a highly portable device designed for rapid deployment. Governments, system integrators and identity programme operators can now deploy secure biometric enrollment faster, lighter and more efficiently, whether for civil registration, elections, border control or consular services.”

— Eric Fouchard, CEO, GripID

A sovereign identity ecosystem designed in France

The V10 is part of a fully integrated sovereign ecosystem developed by GripID’s in-house R&D teams in France. The platform is supported by a cloud-based Device Management System (DMS) providing:

— Fleet configuration and supervision

— Over-the-air firmware updates

— Real-time monitoring and diagnostics

— Secure remote device management at scale

Open SDK and API layers allow seamless integration with existing civil registry, border management and digital identity infrastructures.

The hardware security architecture integrates a Secure Element certified EAL6+, ensuring a trusted chain of security from device to infrastructure.

GripID will also introduce oOsiris, its upcoming zero-knowledge biometric authentication technology designed to provide passwordless operator access while supporting GDPR-compliant identity workflows.

2026 events and live demonstrations
