Ghana's electoral commission plans to hold a biometric registration pilot this weekend in preparation for a real vote.The trial, which will be held in 10 regions, was confirmed by senior EC officials on Thursday, reported GhanaWeb.According to a statement signed by the Deputy Chairman, Operations, Amadu Sulley, “The Electoral Commission has upgraded the Biometric Registration Kits (BVR Kits) for the impending limited voter registration and subsequent registration exercises.”The statement called on political parties and prospective voters in the selected polling stations to participate in the exercise.The registration will take place in some selected polling stations in all the 10 regions.
