Safran Identity & Security has been selected by GIE SESAM-Vitale to develop, manufacture and personalise France's Vitale health insurance cards.The six-year contract will see the company supplying all the production services to ensure the delivery of the Vitale health e-cards, which insured people in France use to prove their identity so they can access healthcare services in the country."This new tender integrated for the first time the entire industrial scope, from the Java Card embedded software to the production of customised cards, leaving the bidders free to choose the components," says Jacques de Varax, general manager, GIE-SESAM Vitale.
