Card personalisation firm Evolis has announced the reorganisation of its US subsidiary with the appointment of a new head of sales and marketing for North America.As part of the reorganisation of its US operations, Evolis will be open a new office near Boston, Massachussetts, to cover all sales and marketing activities as well as technical support for US and Canada-based clients.Xavier Ballarin will manage the new office. He has lived and worked in the US for nearly 20 years, and holds a Master's degree in engineering as well as in marketing. Having worked for US corporations such as American Power Conversion (APC – Schneider Electric) and 3COM, Ballarin has more than a decade of experience in the development of indirect sales of high-tech products. He also has nearly 15 years' experience in launching eCommerce start-ups.The company has also created a dedicated structure to serve the LATAM region which will continue to be based at the headquarters of Evolis Inc in Miami, Florida. Gerardo Talavera will take the lead of this new entity. Talavera and Ballarin will report to Eirik Bakke, global sales director.To complete the reorganisation, five new recruitments are planned in 2017 for both the LATAM and the US & Canada operations."The American continent is the world's leading market for card personalisation and decentralised card issuance and accounts for 25% of Evolis' sales," says Emmanuel Picot, CEO, Evolis.
