A group of 24 people suspected of helping Iranians into the United Kingdom have been arrested in Greece.The operation follows a joint investigation by Greece and the UK, supported by Europol, as was noted in a press release by the international police body.Investigators believe the group was charging up to EUR 10,000 (US$10600) per person to supply migrants with fraudulently obtained or altered identity documents, and to arrange their onward journeys to the UK.Four forgery facilities, where the group was alleged to have produced the counterfeit documents, were dismantled during the operation. Forgery equipment, EUR 50 000 in cash and hundreds of documents were also seized.
