Technology firm Dell has advised that its new XPS 13 and XPS 15 laptops can have a biometric upgrade in the form of a fingerprint sensor embedded in the keyboard. The sensor can be added for just an additional cost of US$25 and is compatible with Windows Hello, the software giant's biometric login option. The option is available on all versions of the XPS 13 and XPS 15, including the entry level spec models, which is nice. Both the XPS 13 and XPS 15 are available for purchase with the new sensor today from Dell's website. The confirmation follows speculation among tech fans on portals like Reddit. “Folks should see configurations for XPS 15 on Dell.com get updated to include the fingerprint reader option during the first week of February,” the company told Windows Central. Also last month, the firm launched the Dell Latitude 7285 as the world's first wireless charging laptop, which also featured a fingerprint reader.
