South Korean biometric sensor maker CrucialTec has revealed a new smartphone fingerprint sensor that recognises a user's heartbeat at the same time.The new authentication system, called Anti-Fake BTP is a combination of the company's representative product Biometric TrackPad, a fingerprint recognition sensor, and a heartbeat rate monitoring system to block spoof fingerprints.Anti-Fake BTP is designed to prevent fake fingerprint use by only recognizing human fingers circulating blood, reported The Korea Herald.The product will be showcased at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and is expected to be commercially distributed later this year, according to CrucialTec officials.
