Camvi Technologies has announced that its advanced face recognition technology set the world record in the University of Massachusetts' Labeled Faces in the Wild (LFW) benchmark test.LFW is a database of face photographs designed for studying the problem of unconstrained face recognition. It was introduced to stimulate research in face recognition for images taken in common, everyday settings. Since its original publication in 2007, LFW has been one of the best-known and respected benchmarks in the field of face recognition.Camvi achieved a record-breaking accuracy of 99.87% as published in the LFW results. In addition, in the most recent Face Recognition Vendor Test (FRVT) report released by the National Institute of Standards and Technology on November 15, 2018, Camvi was ranked #1 in the world for Wild Image accuracy.
