Biometric systems and software specialists Aware have release a cloud-based biometric identity solution called Indigo|Onboard.In a statement, the firm noted that this, the first in Aware's new Indigo family of cloud-based solutions, is designed to deliver turnkey biometric search functionality either as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) subscription or as a server-based software license.Indigo|Onboard is designed specifically for enhancing the onboarding process with advanced identity management capabilities, said Aware. In this way, attempts at identity fraud can be detected and duplicate identity records prevented.”Indigo|Onboard aims to strike a balance between utility and simplicity, enabling compelling identity management functions without requiring installation or integration of new software but allowing for enhancements,” commented David Benini, VP of Marketing at Aware. “The power of biometric search has never been so accessible.”The system offers browser-based capture of fingerprints and faces, and scalable one-to-many search of millions of records. It separates the enrollment and investigation processes into two asynchronous steps .Fingerprint data is searched against all records previously enrolled in the system, and positive search results are queued in a worklist, with each work item including alerts and the associated ID numbers and facial images.
