UK bank Barclays has become the latest to add Apple Pay support.Barclays now becomes the last major UK bank to do so.Apple launched the platform in the UK last July, with Santander, NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland customers among the first to use it. HSBC, First Direct, Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland followed suit in the months after.Although Barclays announced a collaboration was coming “in the future” on July 14, it has taken nine months to come to fruition.According to the Daily Telegraph, Barclays was potentially reluctanct due to its plans for bPay, which allows customers to make payments using a fob, wristband or bPay sticker through their account. It has also experimented with contactless gloves and jackets in the past.
