What is next for National ID?

National ID initiatives are constantly evolving with the ambition of creating public/private ID infrastructure. The public sector at its core is about the private sector also contributing fairly towards activities in the “public interest” like ID. As such, even though private and public sectors have their own wallets, ID credentials and online services/apps are interchangeable and will always incorporate a robust ID verification process. Therefore it is not just the public sector producing or issuing national ID, as the definition of ID has broadened to encompass any ID interface to access a digital service.

Sharing the developments of national ID, which involves unlimited cooperation as described, is just as important. Identity Week Asia, which provides the platform for all stakeholders, will more importantly disseminate their updates on this topic.

It is the only global identity event coming to the APAC region in October with a renowned reputation for kickstarting innovation. Public and private sector organisations take part to make the discussions balanced and representative of the industry.

Taking place in our aptly-named theatre at #IdentityWeekAsia,  the “National Identity Initiative” sessions are not to be missed! Learn more about the ins-and-outs of ID security between our experts, partners and collaborators.
