Human interface solutions firm Synaptics has announced Sharp is featuring Synaptics Natural ID ultra-slim area-touch fingerprint sensors for secure biometric user authentication on their new AQUOS smartphones.Selected as part of NTT DoCoMo Inc's new lineup for the Japanese market, the Sharp AQUOS Ever SH-02J and AQUOS Disney Mobile DM-01J smartphones feature Synaptics' slim fingerprint sensor on the side-edge of the devices, convenient to the fingers natural resting place.”Sharp is an innovative leader and Synaptics is honored to be featured on their new DoCoMo smartphones,” said Anthony Gioeli, vice president of marketing, Biometrics Product Division, Synaptics. “We look forward to working together on future projects and help to deliver high-performance, highly secure and convenient biometric solutions for their customers.”Synaptics' Natural ID fingerprint sensors have features including match-in-sensor technology, anti-spoof technology, and SecureLink 256-bit AES with TLS 1.2 encryption.
