Bhutan’s National Digital Identity workforce and Trust Over IP Foundation have published a case study examining the building blocks of Bhutan’s Digital Trust Ecosystem (DTE), which leverages the Legal Entity Identifier and the verifiable LEI to establish organizational trust.
The project specifies that organisations holding Legal Entity Identifiers will be considered ‘trusted parties’ within the ecosystem.
Ecosystem parties are assessed for trustworthiness by a verifier and go through an initial authentication process in line with terms and conditions in the NDI Governance Framework.
