The recertification of OneID has been confirmed. The company becomes a certified reusable identity service provider, giving their users the highest levels of assurance under the revised UK Digital Identity and Attributes Trust Framework.
With OneID attaining another trust credential, the benefits of a reusable digital identity include greater control for users over their data and enhanced fraud protection and identity assurance for businesses. The certification, which ID providers aspire to obtain, has several new standout features which can separate solutions by matching them against new GPG45 Profiles (Good Practice Guides).
The UK digital trust framework sets the standard for ID providers obtaining any type of certification for use within the private or public sector, whilst strongly aligned with the UK government’s leading certification. UK DIATF certified services are also assessed against the criteria for Right to Work and Right to Rent schemes and the Disclosure and Barring Service supplementary scheme.
