Pasadena-based tech company NextGate plans to showcase its face recognition solution to healthcare experts.NextGate has said it will demo the neural network (computer system modeled on the human brain and nervous system) and machine learning capabilities of the new facial recognition software at an event.The company says its solution can help doctors at hospital emergency rooms and critical care units will have faster access to a patient's medical history and decide on the best course of action more expediently.”. Facial recognition is a low-cost solution that is easily adopted for the user and can be deployed in various patient registration and check-in environments, from self-service kiosks to the Emergency Room”, said the company in a statement.The company will be showing the software at the HIMSS17 Annual Conference and Exhibition.
