At an Open Identity Exchange OIX UK meeting in London this week, a representative from the MIDAS Alliance (Mobile IDentity Authentication Standard) announced that they would be working with the U.K. Government to help develop a pilot that combines payments applications with their identity assurance programme (VerifAs noted in their initial standards' scoping, the MIDAS Alliance believes that in order to create a pilot that will be of use in the Governments Verify programme it is essential to have payments as part of the solution.
