Spanish biometrics firm FacePhi has revealed that the Mexican bank, Banco Inbursa, plans to use its FacePhi facial biometric solution for mobile authentication.The facial recognition software will be incorporated into the bank's mobile platform, allowing its users to safely access their account by just taking a selfie.Banco Inbursa has become the first financial institution in Mexico to offer facial recognition to its customers.The company has noted that to improve its liveness detection, the solution embeds a filter to distinguish between a photo and a live person in front of the device.The deployment makes this a ninth finaican customer for FacePhi, which has also secured several other deals with banks in Latin America including institutions in Guatemala and Costa Rica.
