Lissi has been selected alongside tech giants Google and Samsung for the German EUDI Wallet challenge, testing the integration of software that enables the simple implementation of use cases for organisations with European Digital Identity Wallets.
The software stands out for its notable contributions and innovations in the digital wallet space.
Lissi’s selection is attributed to their leading role in the IDunion consortium, demonstrating a strong community commitment. Their publicly available wallet, supporting 13 languages, underscores their dedication to accessibility and user-friendliness.
Importantly, Lissi’s wallet conforms with the interoperability standards set by the EU Digital Wallet Consortium large-scale pilot. Additionally, Lissi played a pivotal role in initiating and standardising the OpenID4VC protocol, being the first provider to implement it.
Lissi’s continued focus on usability, public participation, and support for a broader ecosystem, while pushing the boundaries of security and privacy protection, further cements their position as a key player in the digital wallet field.
The application showcases the credentials to be integrated into the wallet whilst the common travel, payments and ID use cases have been the subject of large-scale European pilots. As of yet, not many countries have started building the actual wallets.
