Tech firm Lenovo has revealed an online payment system called 'Liquid Pay' that authenticates using a device's fingerprint reader.Unveiled at Lenovo's Japan headquarters, the cashless payment system was demonstrated for use of an online hospitality platform designed for tourists.The company also demonstrated how “liquid pay” could be used with point-of-sale devices.The plan comes as Japan has been piloting cashless fingerprint payments for tourists ahead of its hosting of the 2020 Olympic Games.At the demonstration, officials said that it was a perfect solution for tourists because they need no longer carry around wallets or credit cards.
