Identity Week Europe 2026 has announced Michael Schweiger as a keynote speaker, joining an exceptional line-up from the UK’s Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, FRONTEX, E.ON, FaceTec Inc., Deutscher Sparkassen- und Giroverband, iProov, and Muehlbauer.
Widely recognised as an expert voice on compliance, governance, and digital identity, Michael Schweiger brings a pragmatic and results-focused perspective to one of Europe’s most influential identity forums. His keynote will offer critical insight into how organisations can navigate complex regulatory landscapes while continuing to innovate and scale securely.
Schweiger has extensive experience across financial services and technology and has built and led international compliance, legal, and governance teams throughout Europe and North America. He is a former member of Authorised Management at a major bank regulated by the European Central Bank and currently serves as Chief Compliance Officer of a significant payment institution. This dual background gives him a rare, hands-on understanding of the regulatory pressures facing today’s financial and digital identity ecosystems – and, more importantly, how to turn compliance into an enabler of sustainable growth.
Michael Schweiger will share real-world perspectives on evolving regulatory expectations, identity assurance, and the role of strong governance in building trusted digital services.
Identity Week Europe 2026 brings together more than 4,000 identity leaders and experts for two full days dedicated to innovation, pioneering technology, and advanced security. It is the meeting place for governments, enterprises, and technology providers driving the next generation of identity solutions.
