Singaporean high tech startup firm Infinity Optics Solutions (IO Solutions) has revealed that its new products feature a massive depth-of-field vision technique to improve iris and facial recognition capabilities.IO Solutions says the technology, which uses just a single lens, was developed within the cinematography industry, as the firm's founders previously worked with Academy Award winning film producers.”Our unique family of lens solutions is disruptive and pioneering in the world of optics imaging and can be deployed in various applications for image capture that require clear vision in near, mid and far distances,” wrote the firm in a statement.IO Solutions says the firm's tech works well with iris and facial recognition because it sees more, and further, enabling better data capture.The solution works with a proprietary algorithm to deliver further enhanced images by reducing noise function, capturing and combining mores frames to give you a single pre-processed high quality image.”The single lens extended depth-of-field technology is the answer to eliminating the 'chicken dance' so often seen in iris devices where the eye has to move towards or away from the device to a sweet spot.” IO Solutions says the technology can also have military and retail imaging applications.
