French company Honnorat Recherches & Services has revealed a new class of security granules for security printers using flexo or screen printing.The firm says that the markers or tracers are new in that each individual granule making up the granular material or powdery substance provides at least two distinct colours in different light frequencies.This means that the new class of security granules is particularly suitable for protecting plastic and paper banknotes, passports, ID documents, cards, labels.The company said that the innovation is extremely hard to replicate, because 2 or 3 levels of authentication in one printing improves security and keeps you a step ahead of counterfeiters. It I also easy to authenticate – the devices / readers for checking the security granules are already in widespread use – and easy to use.Honnorat Recherches & Services manufactures security features to protect secure documents from counterfeiting, alteration and forgery.
