Intesa Sanpaolo has announced Italy's first biometric payment card trial.The card is provided by Gemalto, with technology from Zwipe, and is using a sensor from the FPC1300-series.FPC noted that it has ultra-low power consumption and works with standard contactless POS terminals.”The superior biometric performance ensures both security and convenience for cardholders”, wrote FPC.
