Spanish face recognition firm FacePhi has signed a new contract with Mexican Banco Inbursa to implement its face recognition technology on mobile banking app and web platform.”Selphi”, which was launched by FacePhi at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last February, will enable clients of Banco Inbursa to access to their banking accounts through mobile without using a username or a password.Banco Inbursa becomes the first financial institution in Mexico offering facial recognition authentication to its clients, just by taking a selfie.Moneta Technologies, a technological Partner of FacePhi and one of the most consolidated IT companies in MÉxico, will be implementing the Face Recognition technology into the banks´ applications.FacePhi has had success with its face recognition solutions in South America this year.In May, Facephi has won a contract to provide its facial recognition technology to a bank in Guatemala, Banco Industrial de Guatemala.Meanwhile, in February it secured a deal with Costa Rica's largest bank, Banco Nacional.
