Egypt's Armed Forces Arming Authority, a Ministry of Defence agency, is coordinating with the country's airports authority on plans to introduce biometric security for staff access.The Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation (EHCAAN) confirmed that that provision of biometric devices for the entry and exit of airport employees has been assigned to the AFAA.Daily News Egypt has reported that the AFAA has aleady contracted an international company has been completed in order to obtain these devices.A Russian delegation will now inspect and review security procedures in Egyptian airports following the deployment of the system – the Egyptian government seeking to resume Russian flights to Egypt.Russia suspended all its flights to Egypt after the Metrojet incident in October, which killed all 224 passengers and crew on board.Aviation Minister Sherif Fathiy revealed in his interview with Daily News Egypt that the Russian parties demanded the provision of surveillance devices to monitor the entry and exit of employees and workers in airports.
