Taiwanese fingerprint sensor developer EgisTec has reported that the Samsung Galaxy A5 will feature its capacitive touch sensor, the ET320.In a statement, Egis said that the the ET320 offers multiple performance benefits to due to its “high performance and low power consumption rates”.”We are extremely proud of this design win, as we believe that this is a major milestone for Egis and the culmination of over 2.5 years of relentless work and support. At the same time, this design win is infallible proof of our world class technology. Going forward, we are targeting to expand our collaboration with Samsung Electronics to even more models,” said Steve Ro, CEO of Egis Technology.Earlier this week, Egis also reported rising sales to Chinese smartphone manufacturers.Egis Technology (Egistec) has reported revenues of NT$166 million (US$5.12 million) for May, increasing 223.6% on month and 332.5% on year, reported DigitTimes.
