Taiwanese fingerprint sensor maker Egis has reported rising sales to Chinese smartphone manufacturers.Egis Technology (Egistec) has reported revenues of NT$166 million (US$5.12 million) for May, increasing 223.6% on month and 332.5% on year, reported DigitTimes.For the first five months of 2016, revenues amounted to NT$324 million, increasing 210% on year.Increasing demand for fingerprint sensors from China's smartphone sector pushed up sales at Egistec, reported the newspaper citing a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.The company's stock price grew NT$8 or 5.26% to close at NT$160 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) during the June 14 session.
