Taiwan's Egis Technology has announced that its ET320 fingerprint touch sensor has been implemented into select models of the Samsung Galaxy C7.The firm noted that it will be available in July on Samsung's Galaxy C7. “We are excited to announce our second design win in collaboration with Samsung Electronics,” said Steve Ro, CEO & Chairman of Egis Technology Inc. “We believe that this further solidifies our position as one of the top fingerprint sensor providers in the market. Going forward, we plan to expand our collaboration with Samsung Electronics as well as continue to advance our development of simpler, stronger, and more accurate biometric authentication solutions.”In June, EgisTec reported that the Samsung Galaxy A5 will feature its capacitive touch sensor, the ET320. In a statement, Egis said that the the ET320 offers multiple performance benefits to due to its “high performance and low power consumption rates”.
