Ebanking innovation firm Digital Insight is set to partner with biometrics firm EyeVerify on a password-free mobile banking app that authenticates customers using blood vessels in the whites of their eyes.Digital Insight plans to implement EyeVerify's EyePrint ID solution into its existing current mobile banking applications as early as Spring 2015, although on a limited availability basis at first.DI points out that the eye white authentication solution requires no additional software or hardware and that it will help eliminate the high costs associated with resets, lockouts and password-related customer care calls.Unlike iris recognition, EyeVerify's tech matches the blood vessels in the whites of the eye to uniquely identify users.
