Oil giant Chevron has said that it aims to have the systems in place for Apple Pay to be used at its pumps by early 2015.Chevron has supported the tap-to-pay service at its stores and Texaco Extra Mile locations since its launched in October, but support for Apple's fingerprint-based payment service is not yet available at gas pumps.Apple Pay is expected to be linked to the Apple Watch, which is scheduled for launch this year. The service works by holding the phone up to a card reader and pressing a finger on the TouchID button.Last month, reports that the company was advertising for a London-based “Apply Pay intern” has also led to speculation that a European launch isn't far off.
