The Biometrics Institute has welcomed Greg Henwood from the UK Ministry of Justice and Andy Foote from Wells Fargo Bank to its board of directors.The additions follow the appointment of Andrew Rice from the Australian Government Attorney-General's Department as new chairman.In a press statement, the BI said the new board is well-placed to strategically lead the group forward in addressing the most pressing current and future challenges for the use of biometrics.”I was honoured to be elected as Chairperson of the Board and believe the work of the Institute is more important now than ever as biometrics become more pervasive, especially in consumer applications, ” said Andrew Rice, Chairman and Director of the Board.”The Institute will continue to offer a place for sharing of ideas, learning about best-practice and designing strong protections.
