US carrier AT&T has added biometric authentication to its app to enable payments and account logins.Version 5.0 of the myAT&T app lets Apple iPhone users on 5s and above access their account through the fingerprint sensor, reported TelecomPaper.In a statement, AT&T noted a study which showed smartphone satisfaction is higher when devices and apps provide fingerprint scanning.”Users sign in more quickly and frequently and overall feel more secure about their mobile identity”, said AT&T, noted the tech news site.
