Chinese ecommerce firm Alibaba has launched a face recognition security app in India called Privacy Knight that enables users to unlock other apps using selfies.”Privacy Knight” uses a selfies and liveness detection blink setting, with the makers saying this ensures a 99.47 per cent accuracy of face recognition.”Face Lock is set to change the way people protect their privacy. It is the next big thing after fingerprint lock. The age of face lock is here,” Ebrahim Popat , Country Manager of 9Apps, an Android marketplace within Alibaba Mobile Business Group , said in a statement.”Privacy Knight” is safer than other locks as no user information upload is requested since face lock is accessible offline, the company claimed.
