Advanced Card Systems (ACS) has launched two new products: the ACOS5-64 v3.00 Cryptographic Smart Card and CryptoMate Nano.According to ACS, ACOS5-64 v3.00 is a FIPS 140-2 Level 3-certified module. It employs security mechanisms against both physical access and access to critical user and system information. It is the core of the ACOS5-64 Cryptographic Smart Card and Cryptomate Nano. ACS says: "The module is where cryptographic operations are performed, as opposed to a PC or terminal, to guard against hacking or sniffing. The ACOS5-64 v3.00 Cryptographic Smart Card is designed to boost the performance and security of RSA public-key operations.CryptoMate Nano is one of the most portable cryptographic USB tokens in the market, with a length of 29.25 mm, a width of 14.80 mm, and a height of 10.28 mm. Its tiny casing is tamper-evident."The cryptographic smart card and USB token both come with 64 KB EEPROM and are compliant with major international standards.
