The company has also reported huge interest in their latest technology, UR Codes, with many companies already planning how to secure digital identity. The UR Code concept has been toured at Identity Week America and Europe shows asserting how identity should be issued and verified today from using data from a known, legal source such as government ID systems.
D’Ambrosi has a proven track record including co-founding Liminal, where he developed the definitive market intelligence platform for the identity, cybersecurity, and fintech sectors. His background is also extensive as a creator and host of the State of Identity podcast; he is poised to bring a valuable perspective on the intersection of technology, regulation, and market adoption of critical identity technologies across use cases.
FaceTec has recently followed a pattern of hiring some top talent individuals who have worked in government and for issuing authorities and plainly seen the rising problem of fake IDs. Helping FaceTec’s government strategy for digital ID, Owen McShane joined FaceTec as Vice President of Government Relations in August 2024, having previously been Deputy Commissioner at NYS DMV.
D’Ambrosi was previously at Deloitte, serving as an engagement manager leading digital transformation and onboarding initiatives for tier-one global financial institutions focusing on KYC, AML, sanctions, and fraud prevention.
“Cameron’s insight from his years of inside experience in the digital identity market will help us deliver the most value to the growing global market,” said Kevin Alan Tussy, FaceTec CEO. “He will provide guidance and education about FaceTec’s broad applications and the benefits of our 3D Liveness and 3D Face Matching software—the world-leading, state-of-the-art solution in digital identity verification.”
