iProov’s tenured experience providing identity verification at borders will go towards supporting Orlando Airport’s Enhanced Passenger Processing programme on selected flights. Increasing operational efficiency through the use of biometric facial comparison technology is a strategic priority for Orlando International Airport to help benefit millions of passengers. The initiative is voluntary, which will match the face of the traveller with the image in their passport and eliminate the role of CBP officers managing border control.

iProov’s previous contracts include Eurostar SmartCheck and a trial at the UK’s maritime borders. The system automatically processing traveller data maintains confidence in identifying the individual as well as still performing necessary strict security procedures.

Arriving U.S. citizens will have their photo captured to verify their identity and citizenship.

Andrew Bud, founder and CEO, iProov, confirmed the partnership and said they would “build on their strong relationships with key border agencies and the proven success of their on-the-move biometric screening” to support EPP.

“Technology is driving the way for more efficient passenger operations,” said Lance Lyttle, Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA), which manages Orlando International Airport. “Innovative programmes like EPP can significantly reduce processing times for passengers, without compromising security. MCO saw an increase of more than 800,000 international arrivals in 2024 than in 2023, many of them U.S. citizens who would benefit from this programme. We deeply value our partnership with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and thank them for their continued collaboration and support in helping us deliver a more seamless and secure experience for our international travellers.”
