Individuals and organisations within the identity ecosystem have celebrated female leaders at the forefront of digital identity and AI innovation on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. There was a flurry of posts on LinkedIn marking the prominent day in tech industries, which recognises gender equity as the highest priority to enabling identity success.
Remarks were shared by Denny Prvu, Director of Architecture: Innovation & Technology, at Royal Bank of Canada who paid homage to the “remarkable women” shaping the identity’s future and showcasing unrivalled leadership and dedication to their roles in existing and emerging fields.
The day acknowledges female leaders of today and impresses on the wider industry that continued support is needed to elevate women and girls to careers in science and technology fields.
Forging a more inclusive industry starts with self-reflection and challenging configurations of teams and company boards.
If women are not on the board or at the helm of making company decisions, Maxine Most urges companies to ask themselves “why?” when diversity leads to better business outcomes and more success.
She even highlights the technical flaws of biometric and identity technology which are yet to be fully remedied.
