Swedish fingerprint algorithm and mobile smart card reader firm Precise Biometrics has announced a restructuring of its US sales organisation and that Bo-Göran Jaxelius, CFO and member of the management team, will be standing down.Jaxelius has decided to leave due to family reasons, the firm noted in a press release.”Bo-Göran Jaxelius has done a great job for the company. I am sorry to see him leaving Precise Biometrics, but understand and respect his decision to give priority to his family”, said Håkan Persson, CEO of Precise Biometrics.Precise Biometrics is re-structuring the US sales organisation for its Tactivo device, centralising this to headquarters in Sweden.The move aims to unify the global partner sales strategy for Tactivo enabling more efficient use of the company's resources, and as a result Jeff Scott, Vice President Sales Americas, will leave the company, the firm said.”The demand for mobile smart card readers is increasing in a number of markets, especially in the European healthcare sector. We remain positive of the development of the US market for Tactivo even if sales so far have not been according to expectations.
