Norwegian fingerprint sensor manufacturer Next Biometrics has received an order of NOK 820,000 (US$100,000). The order is from the US market, with delivery will take place in Q3 and Q4 2015, Reuters reported.Earlier this month, the firm said the “Apple Effect” has helped it gain over 170 sales leads in both existing and new markets in the first half of 2015. The firm says its products are attracting interest not just for smartphones but also tablets, notebooks, tokens, keyfobs, internet-of-things, payments and a range of other new innovative applications.NEXT CEO Tore Etholm-Idsøe said in a company update that during the previous six months, the company has focused on extending the product offering, securing a distribution network and Increasing production capacity, among others.
