McRock iNFund LP, an industrial Internet of Things venture capital fund managed by McRock Capital, has led the $4 million Series A financing in Toronto-based biometric security firm Invixium.Invixium develops biometric security products which provide physical access security at enterprises and industrial facilities through Internet-connected edge computing solutions.The company noted that since it inception three years ago, it has sold over 3,500 products to government and blue chip industrial companies with rugged security requirements in the Middle East, North Africa, India and North America.”We are experiencing a shift towards advanced, elegant and robust biometric authentication solutions due to the inherent security limitations and complexities of traditional authentication methods,” said Shiraz Kapadia, Founder and CEO at Invixium.As part of this financing, Scott MacDonald and Whitney Rockley, Co-founders of McRock Capital, will join the Invixium Board of Directors.
